You may apply to be a volunteer worker at the centre.

TRAVEL INFORMATION: By air, train or bus to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness or Aberdeen. Then bus or train to  Thurso and ferry to Orkney or from Aberdeen, by ferry, to Orkney.

DURATION: Minimum 4 weeks.

PERIOD: Year round except April and May.

AGE: Minimum 18yrs.

LANGUAGE: English.

QUALIFICATIONS: A strong motivation with animals. No previous experience is required.

THE WORK: Volunteers are expected to help with the cleaning, food preparation, and feeding of seals at the centre. They can also be involved in the rescue and release of seals. Volunteers are expected to participate in cooking (vegetarian) and housecleaning activities.

ACCOMMODATION: The accommodation is shared in a house with 2 attic bedrooms with bathroom and toilet.

COST: GBP15—20 per week for the cost of food.
